It’s that time of year again. Its Deer Season and they are on the move. Seeing Deer in the roads this time of year is what we would expect. With that being said be aware that at any moment a deer might decide to run acrost the road. If you see one deer you can assume there are other deer following them.
Tow Time Towing Service has picked up plenty of deer related accidents this year already. Most deer related accident are due to the driver leaving the road to avoid hitting a deer. I know none of us want to run into any animal but leaving the road with your vehicle in more dangerous for you and other drivers.
From an insurance view, hitting a deer might be covered by your insurance company because the deer is not supposed to be in the road. On the other hand, leaving the road to avoid hitting a deer and hitting a tree might not be covered by your insurance because the driver decided to leave the road.
Stay safe out there.
